VibeAgent is a social search engine, not an online travel agent. We provide a useful and unbiased search tool that helps you find the best room for you at the best rates by searching for hotel pricing and availability from multiple web sites including booking engines and direct from hotels. We provide you with personalized hotel recommendations based hotel reviews written by your friends and colleagues, as well as other VibeAgent members. We collect a small fee when you book a hotel room through one of our transaction partners. - Where can I find VibeAgent’s privacy policy?

VibeAgent does not have telephone support because we are not travel agents and do not have the ability to make or change reservations. If you would like to make or change a reservation please contact the hotel or online travel agent with whom you made your reservation, and they will be able to help you.
Hotel Search
- Similar to your competitors, do you charge a fee for hotels to get preferred placement in search results?
No! We do not believe this practice benefits our site users. Instead, we provide you with unbiased recommendations based entirely on your search criteria and the reviews of like-minded travelers.
- Does VibeAgent guarantee that it will have the least expensive hotel room price?
VibeAgent cannot guarantee that you will always find the absolute least expensive price for a hotel room. However, VibeAgent searches many sites to find you the best travel deals. While VibeAgent won’t offer the best price every time, the probability that you will find the best bargain is very high.
- Can you tell me about VibeAgent’s algorithm that is used to determine the ranking of hotel search results?
It’s really cool. It factors in your tastes and preferences, and prioritizes the reviews of people that share similar tastes and preferences. And it does a bunch of other neat things that we can’t tell you about. Sorry. - How do the “Tags” on the VibeAgent Hotels Search influence the hotel recommendation I receive?
Well, we order the hotels based on how well they “score” in the attributes, or tags, that you select, among other criteria. - What suppliers does VibeAgent search for me?
VibeAgent currently searches a variety of different suppliers for you and features results from over 120,000 hotel properties, and is constantly adding suppliers. VibeAgent searches online travel agencies, consolidators, and the sites of the hotels. Tell us if we have missed a hotel. - Why can't I find a price or a result that I found previously?
When you conduct a search on VibeAgent we gather real time hotel room pricing and availability for your request from multiple suppliers. Hotel room prices and availability change very frequently. If you conduct a search and a result that you had seen previously is no longer showing, the supplier has most likely adjusted or sold the room and price combination you had found previously. - How do I search for multiple rooms?
You may be limited by how many rooms a particular supplier will allow you search for and then book using VibeAgent. We are working hard to increase the number of rooms you can book with every supplier.

- How can I view, change or cancel my hotel reservation?
VibeAgent provides a valuable service to help you find the perfect hotel room and book directly with the supplier. VibeAgent does not have a record of your transaction and any questions regarding a booking should be directed to the supplier web site where you made your hotel room purchase. - Do you offer discounted military and government rate searches?
It will be necessary for you to contact the hotel company directly for information and booking of military or government discounted rates as these rates are not typically offered online and as a result VibeAgent cannot search for them. - Who do I contact to get a refund?

When you conduct a search we gather hotel room pricing and availability for your request from multiple suppliers. This information can change rapidly and therefore it may be possible for the room price and/or availability to change between the time you conduct your search and when we redirect you to the supplier’s web site. We know this can be annoying, so we are working hard make improvements.
Account & Profile
- Who can see me and my reviews?
Your reviews are visible to all users of the VibeAgent web site. You should feel good that the insight provided in your reviews is benefiting your friends, colleagues, and other people in the VibeAgent community. All reviews display your first name and last initial, your profile photo, your profile description, your country flag and your summary statistics. If your profile is set to “private” in your privacy settings then other users will not be able to view your Me Tab. - How do I change my basic account information?
To edit your profile or to change your account preferences, log in and click on the "Account" link that appears at the top of any page. - Who can see my name?
Only your first name and last initial (John D.) will appear on the site. The only time your first and last names will be displayed to non VibeAgent members is if you send someone an invitation to join VibeAgent. If you set your profile to "public" in your privacy settings, other users will be able to search for you by your full name or username.
- What is the “Bookmark Review,” “Bookmark Hotel,” or “Bookmark Agent” feature?
The bookmark feature allows you to maintain a list of reviews, hotels, or Agents that can be accessed through your Me Tab. Your Bookmarks are only visible to you and they can be deleted at any time.
- How do I invite friends to join the site?
VibeAgent is much more fun and helpful when your friends, family and colleagues are also "Agents". To invite friends click on the "Invite Friends" link on the top of any page and enter the names and email addresses of people who you would like to invite to be your friend on VibeAgent. You can also easily upload your friends' email addresses from several mail clients. We've already created an invitation message for you, but feel free to personalize it.
The invitation will automatically contain your first and last name as entered in your VibeAgent account settings. The invitation will include a link that brings your friend to VibeAgent, where they'll be able to sign up for a free VibeAgent account and, if they accept your invitation, they'll automatically appear in your list of friends.
- How do I invite a VibeAgent member to be my friend?
VibeAgent is the best way to share hotel experiences with others. You can easily search for and discover other Agents on the site who you can invite to by your friend and therefore share reviews and interact with them. To invite someone to be your friend simply click on their photo which will take you to their Me Tab. Below their photo on their Me Tab click on "Invite to Friends". If someone has their profile set to "Private" in their account settings you will not be able to invite them to be your friend some people are a little shy.
- Can I have multiple VibeAgent accounts?
No, you cannot have multiple VibeAgent accounts. Like any strong community, VibeAgent is based on trust between its members. Not permitting multiple accounts prevents anyone from providing multiple reviews on the same hotel from the same person, which obviously is not alright. When we discover that a single person has created multiple accounts, we will close all profiles but the original or most authentic one.
- What does VibeAgent do with my personal information?
We take your privacy very seriously. We do not sell, share, rent, trade or give away any of your personal information, unless required to by law.
If any of our members are found to have violated our Terms of Service by sending offensive or harassing messages to other VibeAgent members, we will investigate and take action immediately! If you receive a message of this type from another VibeAgent member please forward the message to legal [at] vibeagent [dot] com.
- How can I cancel my VibeAgent account?
Your friends, colleagues and other users of the VibeAgent web site will be sad to see you go. To cancel your account, log in and click on the "Account" link that appears at the top of any page. Under “My Profile” click on the “Remove Account” link.
If you don't mind sharing it with us, we'd love to hear why you want to cancel your account. If there's something you found unsatisfying about VibeAgent, tell us about it and we'll do our best to try to do better.
Writing and Sharing Reviews
- What makes a great review?
A great review is one that helps your friends and colleagues make a more informed purchase decision. Areas that are important to include in your review include value for money, condition of room, customer service, quality of dining, and available facilities.
- Can I add a new hotel to VibeAgent if I want to review a hotel that does not appear in the “Post Review” search results?
Yes. To post a hotel review, click on the “Post Review” link on the top of any page and enter the city and name of the hotel you want to review. If the hotel does not appear in your search results then select the “Add it to our database” button and fill in the hotel information.
- Can I review a business I'm connected to?
If you are connected to a business, through either a personal or professional relationship, we encourage you to provide your review, so long as you are open about and explicitly disclose your relationship to the business in your review.
- What if I had a bad experience? Can I say something negative?
Sure, as long as you are respectful and accurate. The most important thing is that you are truthful in your review at the same time as being respectful of others.
- Does VibeAgent ever remove reviews?
VibeAgent rarely removes reviews. However, in some cases a member of the VibeAgent team will remove a review when we are made aware of certain situations, especially those that violate VibeAgent’s Terms of Service. A review that has been flagged as inappropriate by the community immediately receives our attention.
Technical
- What are the minimum system requirements to use the VibeAgent web site on my computer?
VibeAgent uses a wide variety of cutting edge technologies to give you the best possible experience on the site. While we're cutting edge, you don't need to be - you just need to be somewhere still on the blade. Firstly, you'll need a computer, with a display (sorry, no soviet era mainframes). You'll need IE6 or greater, any flavor of firefox/mozilla (because it's just good), opera 8 or higher, or safari. You'll also need JavaScript.
